“I am trying to figure out…happiness.”

Postcard 4

Thirty of my former high-school students — who are now making their ways out in the world — volunteered to participate in ink + sky’s first Postcard Project. I am grateful for their honesty, their candor, and their willingness to take a risk.

By disclosing what they are trying to figure out, these young men and women are revealing a part of their inner selves. This courageous decision requires the willingness to be vulnerable, which is one of the most powerful acts that a person can demonstrate.

Your thoughtful comments are welcomed below. The author of this postcard will value your affirmations and kindness. Thank you.

  1. Gratitude is key! I cured myself of two “incurable” diseases, primarily through the practice of keeping a daily gratitude journal. The way your happiness is projected through you will inspire many of your family and friends! Don’t let those that aren’t ready to hear/see it discourage you!

  2. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Consider your mission already in progress, as your message helped remind me to spread more happiness on a daily basis. I will do my best to continue it from here. But remember to just be yourself and always keep being polite and caring to others. You never know just who you might influence, or make their day! The world needs more people like you, and I wish you nothing but the best in your pursuit of helping others be happy. And that way I sincerely hope you can find happiness too, as you certainly deserve to be. Best of luck!
