“I am trying to figure out…too many things.”

Thirty of my former high-school students — who are now making their ways out in the world — volunteered to participate in ink + sky’s first Postcard Project. I am grateful for their honesty, their candor, and their willingness to take a risk.

By disclosing what they are trying to figure out, these young men and women are revealing a part of their inner selves. This courageous decision requires the willingness to be vulnerable, which is one of the most powerful acts that a person can demonstrate.

Your thoughtful comments are welcomed below. The author of this postcard will value your affirmations and kindness. Thank you.

  1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! That was certainly thought provoking. Yes, we are certainly in a period of self discovery and life altering decisions. There is so much going on that we often forget to step back and take in all that is going on around us. I believe that there isn’t exactly a finish line, but checkpoints rather. Along the way, we learn new things and have the opportunity to improve our lives each and every day ,just as you are! That shows a lot of wisdom. Let that guide you and navigate you through the clouds of life to whatever your sunny skies may be. Do what you enjoy in life and find a way to make a living out of it as well! Best of luck to you and your many endeavors!
