Thirty of my former high-school students — who are now making their ways out in the world — volunteered to participate in ink + sky’s first Postcard Project. I am grateful for their honesty, their candor, and their willingness to take a risk.
By disclosing what they are trying to figure out, these young men and women are revealing a part of their inner selves. This courageous decision requires the willingness to be vulnerable, which is one of the most powerful acts that a person can demonstrate.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I am sure it is much easier said than done, but do try and make it a point to not let the pressures of growing up overtake you. You are already headed in the right direction by taking a moment to step back and take in everything as it happens, and using a journal is a stellar move on your part! I can tell you are very determined to be happy and successful no matter what, so let that and your wisdom guide you into your future. Find what you enjoy and see if you can make an income in something related to it. I have no doubt that you will overcome the shadows of today, and leap into the sunshine of tomorrow satisfied with who you’ve become. Best of luck on your path to success!
